The purpose of this RFP is to secure a Contractor to assist the Dakota County in implementing RFID technology into its check-in and check-out operations at all Library locations.
A centralized RFID check-in/check-out system is possible because of broadband. Without it each library wouldl require it’s own equipment and that makes the project cost prohibitive. With broadband the libraries can create a system that is a time saver for patrons and a potential staff time/budget saving for the County.
